So far there has been very little fall out to all of the lies and deceit that the Bushies have used to not only gain the power of the President, but to inflitrate both the DoJ and the Pentagon. Scooter Libby is really the only one so far to take much of a hit. However, I am hoping that the most recent revelation that MANY top officials at the White House (including Alberto Gonzales who has problems of his own outside of this) were knowlingly (that's key) using outside e-mail accounts supplied by the RNC. Why is this a big deal? Well, because it's ILLEGAL!! Okay it's a little more technical than that. They were not using White House e-mail to do official White House business and not following the rules set down (as explained by none other then A.Gonzales in 2001) that require any official White House business done through an alternate e-mail to either be printed and stored as presidential record or e-mailed to their White House official e-mail account so that it could be maintained as Presidential record. Who was the biggest user of the RNC e-mail system? KARL ROVE!!! Not surprisingly a large number of e-mails have been "lost." Whatever, the fact still remains that this was not allowable under the Presidential Records Act of 1978 and everyone over at the White House KNEW it because it had been the subject of several memos distributed to Staff.
As Fishbone so clearly and wonderfully stated, "Let the Bastards Fall." If you need clarification on who the bastards I'll be happy to name names.
Also, let me whole heartedly thank Senator Waxman for his tireless efforts on the report that was presented on this issue. I hope that the committee (Oversight and Government Reform) will continue it's work to bring the illegal actions of this Administration to light.
